About this event

Join us at Catalina Foothills High School for a weekend of sublime orchestral excellence and a monumental journey through Brahms’ final symphony.

Written near the end of his life, Brahms poured the entirety of his artistic wisdom, passion, and soul into this score. Under the baton of guest conductor Gerald Karni, the orchestra will navigate the sweeping melodies, intricate counterpoint, and fiery dramatic peaks that make Brahms’ Symphony No. 4 an eternal favorite for classical music lovers. There is something entirely magical about experiencing Brahms live in concert as the TSO brings you the ultimate test of orchestral expression and unity.

Rounding out the concert, TSO’s own Dario Brignoli is the soloist in Carl Maria von Weber’s delightful First Clarinet Concerto. And the inner glow of Jennifer Higdon’s blue cathedral will soothe you long after its sumptuous sound fades into silence.
