About this event
What if your yard, patio, or even a few containers could become part of the solution for wildlife?
Join AZPM for our next discussion around thriving in our desert. We will focus on how ordinary homeowners and communities can play an important role in protecting biodiversity by transforming the spaces around us into habitat for wildlife.
From a backyard garden to a small apartment patio, the choices we make about the plants we grow and the spaces we create can provide food and shelter for pollinators, birds, butterflies, reptiles, and other wildlife.
Join Arizona Illustrated producer, Tony Paniagua and local experts for a panel discussion about creating wildlife-friendly spaces in Southern Arizona, choosing plants that support native wildlife, and discovering practical ways you can turn your own outdoor space into a small but meaningful patch of biodiversity.
Panelists:
Nolan Bade , PLA , Lecturer, Landscape Architect, College of Architecture, Planning & Landscape Architecture, University of Arizona
Carrieanne Funicelli , Founder, Strategic Habitats Enhancements
Trica Oshant Hawkins , Arizona Wildlife Federation
Listed by Patch: United States, gathered by the Tucson events calendar.
