About this event
*kid friendly but not strollers. My son actually plans to play in the water at the dam for a few minutes.
You are officially invited to the legendary trek to the Sabino Canyon Dam—where the views are gorgeous, the water is refreshing, and everyone pretends the uphill walk is "not that bad."
To be honest though, this is a mini hike good for beginners. It's a little less than a mile each direction.
Let's see what Mother Nature has done with all this rain we've been getting.
Parking at the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area is $8 per car.... unless you have the "America the Beautiful pass" then it's free. Flashlights are optional if you have them. I know we all have flashlights on our phones. It will get dark as we're getting close to the dam.
Hiking Risk Disclaimer: Hiking involves inherent risks, including uneven terrain, falls, weather, wildlife, and the possibility of sore muscles. Please hike responsibly, stay aware of your surroundings, and know your limits. By participating, you accept these risks.
Listed by Meetup: Oro Valley, AZ, gathered by the Tucson events calendar.
