Singing transforms the singer. Singing together transforms the collective. The vibrations that are created inside and outside the body create motion and emotion and have the power of creation within them. Multiple voices singing together in unison transforms the group, teaching us how to come together on the same frequency. When these same voices sing together in harmony - each voice, each melody different and beautiful in its own right, blending and weaving in mutual exaltation - we begin to create a new world. One where each individual’s contribution is essential and beautiful, and we find ways to create beauty together using our unique gifts.

When we sing in ceremony, we have an opportunity to attend more deeply to our resonance, as well as amplify the energies we are cultivating.

In preparation for our Winter Solstice ceremony and celebration on the evening of Saturday, December 19th, let's gather and deepen our relationships with the songs that hold us in ceremony.

Logistics:

This special series is a 4 session container:

Sundays: 12/6 & 12/13, 2-3:30p

Tuesdays: 12/8 & 12/15, 7-8:30p

You will gain the most from this series by attending all sessions, as they will build on each other. There is limited space, so if you are not able to attend at least two of the sessions, please do not register for the series. All are welcome to join us at our public preparatory circle on December 17th at 7:00pm at Love Life Therapy Center, as well as the Winter Solstice ceremony at Madera Canyon on December 19th from 4-6pm.

We sing in the a cappella oral tradition. No need to read music. Songs are designed to be easily broken down, so participants can choose how complex or simple their part will be. All musical levels are welcome, and no experience is necessary!

Over the course of each session, we may be sitting, standing, or engaging in gentle movement/walking. Please wear clothing that allows you to move, and bring whatever you need to be comfortable while sitting or standing. Bring water.

We are offering this series on a sliding scale for registration. If you are unsure where you fall on the sliding scale, please check out this link for guidance.

If financial reciprocity isn’t available for you to offer right now, please reach out to chat about alternate options for cultivating right relationship. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, and there are many ways to make a heartfelt offering that do not involve currency.
