  • The 101st annual Tucson Rodeo kicked off on Saturday, Feb. 21, as local organizers launched a series of rodeo events around town.  KOLD News 13
  • La Fiesta de los Vaqueros at the Tucson Rodeo Grounds turned pink on Sunday as Tucson Chicks N Chaps raised over $7,000 for local breast cancer support. The event will run through March 1 and included a $1,500 donation from the University of Arizona football team.  KGUN 9

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Local letter carriers held a rally on Feb. 22 — just days before contract talks are set to begin in Washington DC — to demand higher pay.  KVOA

SPORTS NEWS

  • No. 4 Arizona men’s basketball team is set to face Baylor in Texas on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. following their upset win over No. 2 Houston, as the Wildcats aim to secure another win before returning home to Tucson.  The Daily Wildcat
  • The University of Arizona women’s basketball team lost to Baylor, 74-60, on Saturday, Feb. 21 at McKale Center. The Wildcats will host Houston for their senior night and final home game tomorrow at 6 p.m.  The Daily Wildcat
