- ➤ Pima Animal Care Center is facing overcrowding as it shelters 450 dogs in a facility built for half that number — six dogs faced euthanasia by Monday, so officials urged residents to adopt or foster pets. The center is on N. Silverbell Rd. KGUN 9

- ➤ Local artist Levi Koenen turns recycled license plates, wood, soda tabs and old car parts into custom signs, lamps and more. His business (The Lost Highway Sign Company) will feature its work at the upcoming Fourth Avenue Street Fair and is now available in about 120 stores nationwide. KGUN 9

- ➤ Shanee Page resigned from the Altar Valley Elementary School District Governing Board on March 3, leaving a vacancy in the district west of Tucson; the Pima County Superintendent of Schools Office is accepting applications until 5 p.m. on April 9 to fill the seat through Dec. 31, 2026. - ➤ The University of Arizona will soon sell the 80-acre Al-Marah Equine Center (gifted by Arabian horse breeder Ruth Tankersley) as county officials and local groups explore a plan to restore part of the site along Sabino Creek. KGUN 9
