Katie Hobbs and Mayor Regina Romero celebrated Tuesday the start of a multi-year rehabilitation at Tucson House on North Oracle Road, which will convert the 17-story public housing complex into 358 modern apartments for residents 55 and older with a $50 million grant + $300 million in additional funds. - ➤ The Wildcat Philanthropic Seed Fund from the University of Arizona is boosting local startups by investing in three companies in energy, health and genomics plus offering students real-world experience. - ➤ Palo Verde High Magnet School is asking parents to fill out a survey on a four-day school week proposal for next academic year. School hours will be 8:10 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, with Friday reserved for academic support plus internships and credit recovery. KVOA
- ➤ The University of Arizona approved a new dorm building to meet the first-year housing requirement that will begin next fall. The building will offer on-campus housing for incoming freshmen near the main campus. KOLD News 13
