  • Martinez Lake reached 110°F on Thursday, setting a new record as the hottest March day recorded in the U.S. for this Arizona desert community.  Arizona Daily Star
  • Southern Arizona vineyards are facing record warmth that triggered early bud break and pushed local winemakers in Sonoita and Willcox to boost watering and fertilizer routines to ward off frost risks later this season (15,000 vines in Willcox are already growing).  KOLD News 13

  • Governor Hobbs visited Tucson food truck owners at Comida Park today (a part of the Tanque Verde Swap Meet) to discuss rising fuel and ingredient costs as Mayor Regina Romero joined to hear their concerns over federal policies affecting small businesses.  KVOA
  • Marana has named Wayne Barnett as its new Parks and Recreation director. Barnett, with 40 years of experience (including his earlier role as deputy director), will focus on safety and expanding indoor recreational facilities as part of the town’s master plan.  Inside Tucson Business

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Pima Community College women's basketball team advanced to the NJCAA Division II Final Four with an 88-75 win Thursday (28-4 season), led by Sours-Miller's double-double and strong bench play.  Tucson Sentinel
  • The Arizona Wildcats won 92-58 against the LIU Sharks (advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament) on Saturday, March 21. Fans now await the next matchups in the tournament.  KVOA
