- ➤ Crews removed the Cesar Chavez statue from Five Points downtown on Monday morning after vandals defaced it over the weekend. The bronze statue, created by local artist Luis Mena and installed in 2020, was taken down amid controversy following allegations in a New York Times article. KVOA
- ➤ City of Tucson will continue trash and recycling collection on March 30 even though city offices will close for a holiday review, and the Los Reales Sustainability Campus landfill will remain open; residents can check schedules online or via the Recycle Coach app. KVOA
- ➤ Tucson removed a 6-foot-tall César Chávez statue Monday from a well-known intersection south of downtown — city officials noted the removal follows a review of public monuments. Arizona Daily Star

- ➤ Banner UMC is the first Tucson hospital to use robotic surgery for living kidney donor transplants, allowing donors to leave the hospital the next day. Two sisters were the initial patients in February (with ten more surgeries scheduled to expand the technique). KOLD News 13
