  • Local Lomo Premium Meats & Grill, founded by former UA researcher Samuel Garcia, serves locally sourced beef and a grill menu daily from 11 a.m. at its Eastside location 1521 N Wilmot Rd with closing times at 6 p.m. early in the week and 8 p.m. later.  KGUN 9

  • Local students can build art skills by volunteering at nearby cultural venues. They can sign up for weekly shifts at the Poetry Center (1508 E. EDUCATION NEWS

  • TEP will match donations dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000 to support Lumia, a digital platform that connects teachers with mentors and peers across Southern Arizona. The crowdfunding campaign launches tomorrow, Apr. 1 as it seeks to raise $50,000 from community donors + matched funds to keep the service free.  KVOA

  • University of Arizona is broadening campus mental health support by expanding CAPS services beyond traditional therapy. Peer-led programs, group workshops and a new Warm Line available Monday to Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 8 p.m. to midnight offer students a friendly option for support.  The Daily Wildcat

  • A bonded pair of orange cats was adopted together after one was rescued from a chimney following their owner's death. Pima Animal Care Center spent three days reuniting the affectionate duo so they can stay together.  KVOA

  • University of Arizona fans plan to travel to Indianapolis this Saturday for the Final Four game despite steep costs as resale tickets start at about $454 — with student tickets selling out quickly — and flights from Tucson range from $800 to $1,200.  KGUN 9
  • Tucson native Kirk Sibley (the former U of A mascot from 1997) is flying to Indianapolis Friday to see the Wildcats compete in the Final Four.  KGUN 9
  • Arizona Softball senior catcher Sydney Stewart was selected as one of 17 players for the Athletes Unlimited Softball League draft yesterday, Mar. 30, which spotlights local collegiate talent.  KVOA
