GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Pima County Recorder’s Office has mailed letters to about 30,000 voters to verify U.S. citizenship after a DMV error in the 1990s mistakenly recorded some residents as having provided proof—voters are asked to send a copy of a birth certificate, passport, or citizenship certificate using the provided envelope to update their registration for future elections.  KVOA

HEALTH NEWS

  • Arizona Medicaid faces a $122 million shortfall that will cut coverage for over 60,000 residents—10,000 in Pima County, officials said. The funding gap risks more than 5,000 local jobs and a $542.7 million drop in economic output if not resolved before the month ends.  Arizona Public Media
