- ➤ A fatal motorcycle crash occurred at East Broadway Boulevard and North Arcadia Avenue on April 23 when 24-year-old Bianey Franco, riding her motorcycle, was struck by a 2007 Lincoln SUV turning left — investigators noted failure to yield by the SUV and speeding by Franco as contributing factors, and she died after being taken to a nearby hospital. - ➤ On April 20, U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a 33-year-old Cuban man for smuggling two women near Tucson's Ajo Highway & seized his Hyundai Accent after finding the passengers lacked proper documentation, with both women set to face removal proceedings. KVOA

- ➤ Just before the Division of Developmental Disabilities risked running out of funds, the House voted 48-11 on a supplemental funding bill that will keep essential services for about 60,000 Arizonans with developmental disabilities in place.
