- ➤ The I Am You 360 small home experience is set to open Tucson’s first green, energy-efficient tiny home community with nine homes and a community center to support young adults aging out of foster care and address homelessness in Pima County. Residents will move in on May 4 or May 11, and the facility will offer behavioral health support—turning a long-held vision into a local solution. KOLD News 13
- ➤ On May 1, the Assistance League of Tucson will rebrand as Viva Pima as it drops its national affiliation and updates its image to better reflect local community values. - ➤ Adrian Lopez-Aparicio (40) from Mexico was sentenced to 41 months in prison on April 24th after pleading guilty to possessing fentanyl with intent to distribute following his arrest on October 3rd when he was found with 20,000 pills in Tucson. KGUN 9
- ➤ The Pima County Sheriff's Department issued a Silver Alert to find vulnerable 86-year-old Rana Dutta in Tucson and urged residents to report any sightings to authorities. KVOA
- ➤ Officers from Operations Division South arrived on April 26 at 10:30 p.m. near West Corona Road and South Missiondale Road where 39-year-old Jose Luis Fierro was found unconscious and declared dead—detectives are now investigating the fatal altercation and asking anyone with information to come forward.
