- ➤ Hikers from across the country completed a 75-mile walk through the Sonoran Desert today, ending at Kennedy Park to honor migrants who died in the borderlands while seeking a better life. The event featured food & music to help mark their journey. KGUN 9
- ➤ About 100 golfers participated in Canyon's Crown's 17th annual charity golf tournament at Forty Niner Country Club — on Tucson’s east side — raising nearly $10,000 for Esperanza, a nonprofit that provides transitional housing for homeless veterans. KGUN 9

- ➤ The University of Arizona released its fiscal year 2027 budget update today and predicted slight declines in student tuition revenue, state funding and other revenue sources (with a slight increase in unspecified areas). Arizona Daily Star

- ➤ A professor at the University of Arizona’s Maricopa Agricultural Center led research trials that developed a free online tool to help farmers track historical water use + improve water management; the tool is expected to guide water-saving decisions for crops in upcoming seasons. - ➤ On Sunday morning, firefighters halted forward progress on the 50-acre Sycamore Fire near Manzanita Vista along the Mt.
