- ➤ Jana Giron was sentenced to 15 years and 10 months for a 2019 crash in Oro Valley that killed two young adults (45 days credited) and ordered to pay $1,112.92 in restitution while the court noted her apology despite little remorse. KGUN 9

- ➤ Vera Rubin Observatory in Chile will show First Light pictures next Monday morning using a camera built by UA. The images will prove the telescope works well - the project uses the largest camera ever built with mirrors made on the UA campus. Arizona Public Media

- ➤ The Pima County Board of Supervisors will meet today to decide who can vote in a union election after a group opposing Sheriff Nanos challenges the current bargaining agreement with the Pima County Deputy Sheriff’s Association. The vote is scheduled for June 23 to 27 and comes after both sides turned in thousands of signatures and raised concerns about employee eligibility. Arizona Public Media
- ➤ A Senate bill from last week would let parts of Sabino Canyon, Mount Lemmon, and Madera Canyon be sold for housing as the Interior and Agriculture secretaries plan to set rules and a timeline for these sales.
