ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Today at 2 a.m., Tucson Police reported that a single-vehicle crash on West Roger Road claimed the life of 24-year-old Inez Marie Romero and injured a 26-year-old driver who was impaired and speeding—investigators continue to probe a possible street takeover in the incident. KVOA
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ 23-year-old Nathan Espinoza of Avondale pleaded guilty to conspiracy to transport illegal aliens for profit and admitted recruiting drivers and coordinating transport from near the Mexico border that moved at least 25 illegal aliens, including a March 6 incident near Lukeville where two were involved and one died — he will be sentenced in October. - ➤ At 4 a.m. Tuesday, the Pima County Sheriff's Department confirmed a deputy involved shooting at Equestrian Luxury Apartments led to a partial evacuation while law enforcement managed a separate situation at Linda Vista Boulevard and Camino de Oeste where a barricaded subject fired intermittently—no injuries have been reported. - ➤ Authorities are investigating an incident along Interstate 10 heading into Tucson—officials said they are checking evidence and talking with witnesses as they work to learn what happened. KOLD News 13
