  • A $2,500 reward is offered for information on a Tucson murder case involving a fight on April 26 near Missiondale — Corona that left Jose Fierro dead.  KVOA
  • Pima County prosecutors filed suit Friday in federal court to gain access to murder suspect Julio Cesar Aguirre, 42, who faces first-degree murder and other charges from a June 30 carjacking that left a 70-year-old man dead in midtown Tucson — county officials warn he may be deported before trial.  Arizona Daily Star

  • El Pueblo Housing Development received the Urban Development of the Year Housing Hero Award from the Arizona Department of Housing on August 15 for Milagro on Oracle, a 63-unit affordable housing complex that blends new construction with the preservation of two historic motor courts—this first Low-Income Housing Tax Credit project in over a decade opened this year in the Miracle Mile National Historic District and serves seniors and formerly unhoused residents with wraparound services and community spaces.  City of Tucson
  • Federal officials announced Friday that Arizona will face an 18% cut in its Colorado River water supply due to low reservoir levels—this decision follows years of drought and heavy use that have stressed the river.  KOLD News 13
