  • Tucson police arrested Mario Berjarano on Aug. 15 after a coordinated investigation found he had been stealing expensive items from Lowes — and Home Depot for several months, with a search of his home turning up the stolen merchandise.  KVOA

  • Saguaro National Park and Friends of Saguaro National Park received two National Park Service Excellence in Wilderness Stewardship Awards for preserving 180 miles of trails and using mule teams to maintain historic structures—efforts that support the park's future protection.  Tucson Sentinel

  • Attorney General Kris Mayes filed a consumer fraud lawsuit against the owners of Redwood Mobile Home Park for failing to warn residents about its unsafe, overloaded electrical system—leaving people without air conditioning during the extreme heat. The suit names Redwood Thunderbird MHPS LLC, its property management company, and BoaVida Communities LLC for not updating outdated wiring that put residents at risk of electric fires.  KVOA
