- ➤ Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding Jacob Egelhoff, a 63-year-old with Alzheimer's who left his vehicle near West Frontage Road by Kilometer 36 in Tubac today — a woman reported he may have headed toward Piedra Drive and anyone with information is urged to call the department. - ➤ Musician Yung Gravy will perform live at Gentle Ben’s tonight from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.—part of Urban Outfitters’ kick-off party launching a back-to-campus concert series in Tucson. Attendees must be 18+ and show valid ID to enter. The Daily Wildcat
- ➤ Tucson Comic-Con will run from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1 at the Tucson Convention Center—an event that grew from a one-day show into a festival with costume contests, live tattooing, art panels and games. The event will offer a VIP area for kids, a silent auction to help local charities and appearances by actors from Teenage Mutant Turtles, Ken Foree, Christine Elise, Erik Estrada and Kevin Eastman. - ➤ The University of Arizona reported that changes to S. 12th Ave made in October 2020, which added on-street parking and enhanced bike lanes between Irvington Road and Drexel Road, led to zero traffic-related fatalities and a 44% drop in crashes overall. - ➤ Candidates Adelita Grijalva and Daniel Butierez debated in Tucson Tuesday night as early ballots were mailed ahead of the Sept. 23 special election.
