- ➤ The newly renovated Quincie Douglas Center at 1575 E. 36th St. in Tucson will open its updated spaces tomorrow—featuring a patio, computer lab, lounge, billiards, and fitness room. The center will welcome visitors from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. KVOA

- ➤ A Downtown Tucson restaurant that served the community for 40 years will close permanently on Sept. 19—owner Marcela Davila said she will launch a new homemaking consultation business called Home School. The small Mexican eatery at the corner of North Stone Avenue and East Alameda Street accepts only cash and gift cards until it closes as regulars stop by to say goodbye. Tucson Sentinel

- ➤ Two 17-year-olds, Marquis Wain Reddick and Tayson-Lynn Kent Spangle, are facing charges of first degree murder, armed robbery, and aggravated robbery after a fatal shooting occurred at a northside Tucson apartment complex on Aug. 10 at 9 p.m.—18-year-old Aris Raynee Brito Junior died from gunshot trauma. - ➤ Saguaro City Music Theatre gives Tucson kids free, inclusive theatre classes so they learn musical skills regardless of disability.
