- ➤ The University of Arizona will host the Arizona Insect Festival on Oct. 5 at its Environment and Natural Resources 2 Building on Sixth Street east of Park Avenue—featuring a new exhibit on cochineal, a prickly pear parasite used for centuries to make red dye by groups from the Aztecs to the British.
