  • The cast and creator of 'Resurrection Blvd.' reunited Sunday at Tucson's Fox Theatre—25 years after the show's groundbreaking premiere.  KVOA
  • The Desert Rovers All-Girl Orchestra made a 1930 trek across Arizona as part of the Western Women series that recounts how five young musicians earned their living playing gigs wherever they could.   • A Tucson landmark was damaged in a fire on Oct 19 — the Ignite Sign Art Museum vows to rebuild the site.  KVOA

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • UA must provide feedback on the White House Compact by the deadline today + several invited universities rejected the offer last week.  KVOA
  • Residents in Oro Valley are advised to expect traffic delays as Oracle Road begins median maintenance today; the project will trim trees, remove trash, and control weeds with northbound lane closures daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Oct. 24 plus possible extension through Oct. 29.  KVOA

HEALTH NEWS

  • On Sunday morning at Rudy Garcia Park, over 700 people walked to raise funds for free mammograms and honored breast cancer survivors with group exercises and a flower garden. The event, hosted by SAABE, supported those without insurance and aimed to spread awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  KGUN 9

SPORTS NEWS

  • Last Saturday, the Pima Community College men’s soccer team won a 4-0 shutout at Paradise Valley Community College as Mina scored two goals that sparked the victory. The Aztecs had eight shots and key assists and will play their final regular season home game Tuesday at 8:00 p.m.  Tucson Sentinel
  • The University of Arizona football team lost 31-28 to Houston on Oct. 18 when Houston kicker Ethan Sanchez drilled a 41-yard field goal as time expired+The loss pushed the Wildcats into a bye week while Houston reached bowl eligibility and Arizona looks to bounce back on Nov. 1.  The Daily Wildcat
  • The Pima Community College women’s soccer team shut out Paradise Valley with an 8-0 win on Saturday—scoring four goals in each half with seven players getting on the board. The Aztecs will face Scottsdale Community College on Tuesday at 5:45 p.m.  Tucson Sentinel
