- ➤ Earlier tonight, Engine 16 of the Tucson Fire Department — a local unit on Golf Links Road — rescued a dog whose paw was trapped under a tire after clearing a car fire, and an animal control officer promptly took over the pup's care. KVOA
- ➤ Hundreds gathered today at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Marana to honor Vietnam veteran Darrell Lee Arelt, who passed away last November due to illness. His mobile home park owner organized the service featuring an honor guard, color guard, Taps, and a 21-gun salute. KVOA
- ➤ Today, children and seniors gathered at Park Senior Villas for a Christmas celebration featuring music, cookie decorating, and games organized by Senior Helpers (partnering with Young at Heart Together) to build community engagement. KGUN 9
- ➤ Pima Animal Care Center is offering free dog and puppy adoptions for active-duty military members and veterans until Dec. 28 at its facility on N. Silverbell Road. The promotion includes skip-the-line privileges and a special holiday surprise. KVOA

- ➤ Pima County closed on a 290-acre land sale for Project Blue at its Southeast Employment and Logistics Center near Houghton Road and I-10 yesterday by noon (Christmas Eve). The county finalized the transfer to Bobcat B1 LLC after accepting a $6.5 million relocation estimate for its Trap and Skeet Facility. KVOA
